We currently offer two of the top commercial shopping cart packages on the market. We also offer free cart which is ideal for smaller stores. If you choose one of the two commercial carts (Miva or PDG), the cart will be installed for you upon opening your e-commerce account. We will also install the free Zycart for customers of Zylink, though support for the free cart is limited.

Miva Merchant is one of the top names in e-commerce. Miva has proved to be reliable and versitale as a tool for online stores. The browser interface for store development is excellent and can be used by people with limited design skills.

osCommerce is a sophisticated open source shopping cart which utilizes PHP and MySQL.  Because it is open source, it benefits from having a lot of community-contributed modules.  This cart is very popular with Linux web developers.
 

The PDG cart offers the designer a great deal of freedom in customizing the look and feel of the site. PDG has modules that work with popular design software such as FrontPage, Dreamweaver, and NetObjects Fusion.

One advantage of going with PDG is scalability. The basic PDG cart allows for the importing of a product database. PDG Commerce, a more advanced version of the cart, allows for full SQL database integration. If you start with the basic PDG cart, you can always upgrade to PDG Commerce.

The ZyCart is a very basic shopping cart designed primarily for small stores with only a few products. Using this cart requires some knowledge of basic HTML, since there is now browser interface to add or modify product listings. You add each product directly on the web page through your html editor, and then you modify some hidden form tags to indicate product identification and pricing. The Zycart works with our Zytransact credit card processing system, and can be modified to work with other gateways. However, we offer very limited support.
